Harvego Restaurant Group

OUR HISTORY

Led by a highly respected family deeply involved in the community and with a long history of charitable giving, the Harvego Restaurant Group began in 1999 with the purchase of The Firehouse (that first opened in 1960). With a vision to elevate the well-regarded restaurant to the Sacramento area’s premier fine dining establishment, father and son Lloyd and Terry Harvego infused a high level of sophistication to the entire culinary experience and fostered the goal to house one of Northern California’s most extensive wine collections (the magnificent cellar currently contains about 16,000 bottles). Under their steadfast leadership and supported by a dedicated management team and talented culinary staff, Harvego Restaurant Group has succeeded in creating a timeless dining destination that is named in Zagat’s Top Restaurants and is simply unparalleled in the Sacramento region.

After acquiring and renovating The Firehouse, the Harvego Restaurant Group purchased a vacant property in the heart of Sacramento from the City of Sacramento in order to create a mixed-use project including another dining establishment -- Ten22 Restaurant -- that opened in 2009. With a comfortably elegant and family-friendly ambiance while offering affordable yet high-quality menu options, the award-winning Ten22 has achieved immense popularity among the business community, neighborhood residents and families alike. Ten22 is known for its “New American Cuisine” that showcases fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are creatively prepared.

Harvego Restaurant Group launched a third dining concept named District by Ten22 on Friday, July 8, 2016. With an open and welcoming space adjacent to Ten22, District has a casually inviting ambiance that caters to an early morning, busy midday and lingering post-dinner and event crowd. Open daily with extended hours -- and boardwalk dining for those interested -- District guests can enjoy gourmet coffee provided by Old Soul, impressive bottled beer and wine by-the-glass/bottle selections plus delicious “grab & go” breakfast items, sandwiches and desserts that are served all day and presented with a fresh and sophisticated twist. Easily accessible on 2nd Street, District is centrally located to become a favorite among the vibrant downtown Sacramento community, future Golden 1 Center arena visitors and engaging Old Sacramento guests.
